Kris Lohman is a hapa kid that has lived most of his life in Hawaii after moving around throughout his childhood in a military family.
He was introduced to comics at an early age and developed a lifelong love for comics then. Drawing was always his way of coping and blending into the background since he was constantly on the move (nine schools through 9th grade).
Comics and art remained a hobby (and passion) for Kris, while he did the responsible thing--completing college and getting a job. He is a self-taught comic artist, eventually getting published doing the art for a short story and subsequently for "Billy Jump" which was published digitally.
Kris was recruited by Chris Caravalho to do the layouts or story art for ‘Aumakua Guardians of Hawaii. After completing two comics, Kris realized that it was time to start creating his own worlds. Working together with another old friend, he has started publication of the DwarfStar Chronicles.

DwarfStar Chronicles follows the crew of the DwarfStar on their adventures and hijinks throughout the universe. It is meant to be a fun book appropriate for all ages, something sorely missing in today's grim and gritty world of comics, and has mashed together elements of sci-fi, fantasy, and fairy tales for your reading pleasure.
