Nikko is the creator, writer, and illustrator of Kat 'n Klown Komix, which chronicles the vagabonding adventures of Boffo and Epi. Nikko’s characters, which also include Motorcycle Guy, Space Lady, and others, have lived inside his imagination for years. With the support of family and friends, and the encouragement of the amazing Sam Campos (Pineapple Man, Dragonfly, Kamen Kaze, Hawaiian Avenger Kanaka), Boffo, Epi, and the rest gang are now finally making the big leap to the printed comic book pages.
Nikko’s artistic influences include such classic comics such as George Herriman (Krazy Kat), Charles Schulz (Peanuts), and Bill Watterson (Calvin and Hobbes). He is also on a mission to reclaim clowns from the Horror genre, and to restore Tricksters to their noble and rightful place in society. (Or slip on a banana peel trying.)
Nikko studies at the Kaaawasaki Art Lab. As a Baby Boomer and proud member of the Hawaiian Comic Book Alliance, he is living proof that it is never too late to follow your dream.
